A couple of weeks ago we road-tripped it family style
for some much-needed downtime away from the bungalow:
free from work, internet, TV, stupid schedules and unfinished projects.
Doing a whole lot of lovely sun soaking
jumping waves
beach exploring
climbing of driftwood
and pretending (with sticks).
You know, a general letting down of the collective family hair
and sitting on the great big beautiful beach until the sun goes down
or someone needs to use the bathroom. Whichever comes first.
The one thing about going on vacation is...
you have to come back from vacation. Eventually.
But here's hoping this one lingers just a little bit longer.

ReplyDeleteOh I am missing the beach just looking at these photos, but you're si right...you have to come home eventually, and sometimes catching up on everything after a trip out if town makes me wish I'd taken a staycation instead.
