The shipping box is stamped:

but if you know me then you know where this is headed, don't you?

  1. Aw dude, I would be pisssssssssed. This is why I hate freight, and pretty well any sort of shipping company-- hope you can get a replacement sent out asap and with less smashing!

  2. Oh no! And it's an antique too. I hope the shipper had it insured. Good luck!

  3. Bet it was delivered by UPS right? They just took one of my gifts last week also boldly and clearly marked FRAGILE and tossed it about 10 feet onto my porch! At least my mail person takes the time to place my things on a chair on the patio. I am so sorry!

  6. Where did you order from? Was it packaged well?
I bought a sink this fall and it had so much packing, I don't think UPS could have broken it even by throwing it.

  7. I had some long blinds shipped UPS twice and they arrived bent in the middle. I swear they must have thrown them in the truck and then thrown heavy stuff on top of them, because they were in a very sturdy tube. Or maybe they jumped on them... I gave up after two tries. I've also had "fragile" stuff tossed up on the deck.

Give me the post office any day, as long as we have it, sigh.

  8. While I'm dissing UPS I got zero help from them last week when a package they said had been delivered was nowhere to be found. I live in a very isolated area, so it didn't develop legs.
