Psssst . . . Hey You Guys

HELP!

I've been hog-tied and taken hostage by my ordinary everyday grown-up life.

PSA for anyone who isn't sure: three kids is a lot of kids. A lot. Of kids.

Write that down.

I haven't painted or planned or finished a single project-related thing in forever.

Also, did I mention that Handy Husband is off gallivanting about on an extended mega vacation of epic inter-continental all expenses paid proportions a super lame last minute loooong business trip to The Lucky Country on which he happened to take my camera and the good computer with him?

Pfffft.

Who wants to go to Australia anyways?

Not me.

Breathtakingly awesome Australian beach photo taken by the hands of Handy Husband with my very own camera and then uploaded and sent via the nice new computer (the one that DOES NOT randomly delete blog posts when it shuts off every 3 minutes, or 8 seconds, or whenever it damn well feels like it). Doesn't look like fun at all.

[INSERT QUIET SOBBING]

Please send anti-depressants and a babysitter.

And beer.

But just one and make it a light beer since I'm dieting because that's what grown-ups do.

LMFAO my husband and I say this a lot, and often when 1)talking about the future b)being awful and comparing our lifestyle to others cat)gaping in shock\awe at the downright exhausted and almost crazy hollow gazes of parents to multiple children (and then fearing for our future sanity).

That is awesome that your husband gets to have such an experience, but also not awesome that you & the kids don't get to share in said awesome experience.

Stay strong! This too shall pass (perhaps with the help of an adult beverage). :)

    1. You know what? In a way the crazy exhausted feeling is quite liberating. I'm stupidly OCD about the most ridiculous things. There's a boatload of stuff I used to go bonkers over: like which way the bathroom towels are folded or if the remaining eggs are evenly spaced in the egg carton (really)

but now I'm just too tired to care :) So I think I win.

  3. I'm right there with you. We just had our third, she's a month old now and I don't know when I'll be able to get anything done again. Even cooking dinner is hard most days. I need to embrace the fact that she's a night owl and do stuff after the older two are in bed, but usually I just want to sit and do nothing.

    1. It's straight up insanity. Can't wait for our little guy to start sleeping through the night. Any day now, right? RIGHT??

  4. Thanks - you just further propelled me into my current phase on not wanting kids! LOL!

May the good camera and good computer return quickly!.....oh yeah, and the hubby too. :)

    1. Nooooo, I promise that it will be totally awesome when they're old enough to wield power tools responsibly and make runs to Home Depot and climb ladders to clean the rain gutters.

All part of the grand master plan...

  5. Your husband takes pictures like a pro! That one is a very enticing view of Australia. The serenity though seems to contradict with the stress you are currently in. LOL.

But when they grow up, you'd be proud you've seen them through. :)

  6. You're so funny. Yes, who in their right mind would want to go to gorgeous Australia and take lots of breathtaking pictures? I think you need a real cocktail along with that babysitter - forget the light beer. It's not always fun to be a grown-up!
